Now burglars target Delhi Police

New Delhi: The Delhi police is facing a tough challenge from burglars who after the common man and political party members have started targeting them. In such a case, the burglars in southeast Delhi allegedly stole a wireless set from a traffic police personnel on Friday night.

In another similar case, the miscreants stole a wireless set on Wednesday in Anand Vihar from a cop. In the first incident, at Khanpur T Market, around 8.30 pm. The constable identified as Mahaveer Singh was on duty from 7 am till 10 pm. According to the police, after finishing his duty, when Mahaveer went to check his bag at Sangam traffic circle, he was unable to find his bag. It was kept inside the traffic booth and had wireless, its charger, and his civil dress, the cop mentioned. Following this, he immediately reported the issue to the seniors.

In a similar incident, three days ago, two cops, an ASI and a head constable were placed under suspension after their wireless sets, which they had kept in the pocket were allegedly stolen. The two police peronnel suspended officials were identified as ASI Chetan and head constable Dalchand.
