Setting traps for mice is one way of getting rid of the rodent menace in your surroundings, but what if you end up finding something unexpected. Snakes are terrifying creatures and the last thing you would expect to come across on the street.

A passerby in London was shocked when he spotted an orange and white corn snake which had slithered into a mousetrap. The snake was a pet and had to be rescued by RSPCA workers as it could barely move.

While it was left with an abrasion where it was stuck, the snake’s injuries weren’t severe. The owner could not be tracked down and the charity said they aren’t sure if the snake escaped or if it was abandoned.
