Google doodles are innovative and we can’t help but love every single one of them before we click to read more regarding the event. It is yet another day and Google has come up with a doodle that pays tribute to Sandford Fleming.

Fleming was a Scottish Canadian inventor who invented the worldwide standard time concept to be used across the world. The idea was formally adopted at the International Prime Meridian Conference in 1884 and is currently in use. The colourful doodle has a steam engine with different clocks showing all the different time zones and a postage stamp with the face of Fleming on it.

The doodle is created by Sophia Diao and highlights Sandford’s achievements in all fields like designing the first Canadian postage stamp and the Intercontinental Railway.
