Smokers barely see the warning signs on packets when they buy their cigarettes because they have been seeing it long enough and people reminding them about it.While the dangers of smoking are known there are many people who constantly try to make people aware and recently a Mumbaikar took a step further with social media. The message made in a series was used to convince people to quit smoking by being socially responsible.

According to a media report, Aashish Mehrotra recently took awareness a step further when he made a snapchat story telling people about how he quit smoking after a family friend died of cancer even though she was a passive smoker. The video shows Mehrotra at the hospital when he decided to make the story; he had decided to donate platelets and white blood cells after he quit smoking.

The user decided to quit after he saw people get out of the oncology department struck with sadness most often than not. Aashish took it upon himself to create awareness about the harmful effects of smoking and would continue to do it even if people thought he was annoying to them.
