Children suffering from life threatening diseases at a young age can be heartbreaking for the child’s family. But the ordeal caused by these conditions can cause excruciating pain for a child already battling for life.

A seven-year-old girl from Zimbabwe is going through a nightmarish experience as half of her face has been ravaged by skin cancer while doctors had given her few months to live. Natasha Matimba has astonished doctors by holding on to life despite being given months to live last year.

The girl has an incurable genetic condition which burns her skin after making contact with sunlight or UV rays in artificial light. The disease affects one in 2000 people and doctors have told Natasha’s mother to take her home since they can’t help her.

Meanwhile an appeal has been made to help her family and an accountant is raising funds to make remaining days of Natasha’s life more comfortable.
