Having an extra brain may seem like a great idea but things don’t always turn out the way we think. It seems people do have another brain but its location isn’t something most of us have imagined.

Scientists have discovered that human beings have a second brain in their bowels. It is specifically meant for controlling the movement of intestines and help pass waste out of the body.

The collection of millions of neurons works by pulsing electrical waves through the gut. This in turn functions in a synchronised way to help the bowel pass waste.
