The monsoon is ongoing and this is probably the only season where your hair tends to become unnaturally frizzy. When your hair is not properly hydrated, the cuticles rise to let moisture in. The excess moisture in the atmosphere causes your hair to inflate. Living with frizz can be very frustrating especially when you have curly hair. So here are a few tips to maintain.

Steps to maintain hair this season:

1. Make sure you eat right and drink enough water. Invest in sulfate and alcohol-free hair products. Avoid chemical treatments and styling tools. Use a hot oil massage and a hair mask at least once a week. Wash your hair less often so that the natural oils of the hair can be preserved. Use dry shampoo for emergencies and trim your hair on schedule.

2. When you don’t want to chop off your mane, some easy hairdos are all you need.

Buns: The classic bun can be livened up by doing a twisted top knot, half up the top knot, messy hair bun, French twist bun, sock bun, braided bun, donut bun, low flat twisted bun, side bun.

Braids: Braids are easy to do and they don’t harm the hair. You can try out different braids like three strand braid, fishtail braid, rope braid, French braid, Dutch braid, waterfall braid, and four strand braid.

Ponytails: For a busy day out opt for ponytail which is hassel free. You can try out soft swept pony, twist pony, low pony, side-swept pony, and high pony.
