Two flavours for the price of one

If you thought flavourings like green apple and vanilla were the coolest thing to have ever happened to dour vodka, you clearly need an update on recent developments. Not only are we witnessing an upsurge in vibrant and wild flavours, there are also multiple flavours available in the same vodka.
Dual-flavoured vodka has taken off in a huge way, and every vodka brand worth its salt is offering a few options. In the last one month itself, three brands have launched their dual flavoured variants, with options as eclectic as orange-pepper, mango-mint, green apple-cinnamon, among others.
Talking about what drives this change, a spokesperson for United Spirits — which makes Romanov, White Mischief and Vladivar — says, “Flavoured vodkas are a rage, especially among young Indians, who consume these to satiate their growing aspirations.” Die-hard vodka fans too swear by the options they have. “I liked vodka because of its versatility, but I was dependent on the bartender to rustle up something different. These new eclectic flavours have led to wonderful burst of flavours,” says Jason Mathew, a DJ at a popular Mumbai nightclub.
