Health ministry set for a lot of changes

The next three months will see a lot of changes in the Union health ministry with the tenure of four joint secretaries coming to an end.

While there is already one vacancy for the post of joint secretary for Reproductive Child Health (RCH) in the health ministry, after the earlier JS Anuradha Gupta got promoted as Additional Secretary and Mission Director National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
Two other joint secretaries —one who takes care of Pradhan Mantri Swasth Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) Mr B.K. Prasad and joint secretary medical education Debashish Panda — are also set to go back to their parent cadre this month. The list does not end here — the month of April will see two more joint secretaries leaving the ministry. The tenure of Shalini Prasad, JS, tobacco control and Amit Mohan Prasad, JS, NRHM will also come to an end in April this year.
