Celeb moms say no to nannies

So, be a mommy without a nanny. Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who gave birth to a baby girl last November, has reportedly not hired a nanny so far and has personally been looking after Beti B.

Though Hollywood celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Beyonce or back home Maanyata Dutt and Farah Khan have a number of nannies to take care of their kids, there are also some celeb moms who prefer not to hire a nanny and be a hands-on mom to experience motherhood more thoroughly.
Some of our city’s celeb mothers too feel that not having a nanny and taking care of the baby solely by oneself celebrates and strengthens the bond with the child.
Model Ramneek Paintal has taken a sabbatical from work after giving birth to her second child. “I want to really experience being a mother in a complete way. So, I decided to personally take care of my son. These are the crucial years with your toddler. I don’t want to miss out on any of his activities. From his first steps to his little habits, I want to capture all of that. Though it’s more work round-the-clock and he keeps me on my toes all the time, I guess that’s part of the charm of motherhood. I think, you miss out on a lot of things when you hire a nanny. Initially, I used to work from home, but then I stopped work completely to be with my six-month-old. After working for 15 long years, looking after my baby is a well-deserved break for me.”
But model Amanpreet Wahi, who is seven months pregnant, finds nothing wrong with hiring a nanny as they help one handle the baby properly. “I have hired a maid for six months, who specialises in taking care of a new-born child. It’s a beautiful experience to have a child and I want to enjoy all the pleasures of being a mother. From giving him baths to changing diapers, I would love to do it all. I don’t want my child to be with a nanny 24x7. But I think hiring help teaches you to look after your child in a right and better way. It all depends on how much time you invest in being with your child.”
