Undeserved pay

The Seventh Pay Commission recommendations are a death-knell for the economy. Amidst high inflation and poor economic growth, it is difficult to justify steep salary hikes. The bloated bureaucratic behemoth has outlived its usefulness and the like lead to yet higher prices which nearly 90 per cent of the country will not be able to afford. Just like the Planning Commission, the pay panel report must also be scrapped.
