The recommendation of reducing the age limit for appearing in the Civil Services Examination by the UPSC is biased.

The recommendation of reducing the age limit for appearing in the Civil Services Examination by the UPSC is biased. The reason that 32 is very old for appointing someone (belonging to the general category) as an IAS officer is dimwitted. The age limit for SC/ST is 37 years. It’s illogical that a general candidate is “old” at 26 but a reserved candidate is a “youth” at 37! It reminds me of the era when Indians were subjected to such age bars in the Indian Civil Service examination, that only the British were able to join it. Let’s prevent history from repeating itself.
