Senators feel pak house needs veena

Pakistan’s senators feel they need actress Veena Malik in Parliament to attract ministers who do not attend sessions.
The Opposition said deputy chairman Mir Jan Jamali has failed to ensure member attendance.

Treasury senator Kazim Khan said only those ministers who do not attend should be sacked while senator Tahir Mashh-adi said their absence was “contempt of the House”. The remarks led PML(N) senator Mushahidullah Khan to suggest, “Let us bring Veena Malik from India and elect her Senate deputy chairperson to attract ministers to the House.” He was supported by others. The remarks were later expunged.

As a self-confessed hardliner, I must admit that being a part of the team engaged in Indo-Pak Track 2 dialogue has been very interesting.
