New Delhi:

Snapdeal founder Kunal Bahl on Thursday said that a employee who works at their Gurgaon office was kidnapped while she was on her way home after finishing work Wednesday night.

Bahl said his organisation is working closely with police authorities to help secure the woman’s safety.

According to some reports, the woman who has been identified as Dipti Sarna, lives near Delhi and was in the habit of taking a metro from Gurgaon to Vaishali. She would then take an auto from the station and on the day of her kidnapping she was on the phone with her family.

Her parents reportedly heard her question the driver on why he had taken a wrong turn. Her phone then got switched off and that was the last anyone heard from her.

“We are extremely disturbed with the reported abduction of our team member. Her security and safety is our topmost priority," said a statement released by the company.

The city police has registered a case of abduction and have launched a search operation.
