Priest held, did yagna to ruin BJP MP

A priest of a temple here was late on Saturday evening arrested for threatening to destroy BJP MP Ramesh Bais by conducting a “yagna” because the MP didn’t help him acquire government land for construction of a “dharmasala” (rest house) for the shrine, the police said on Sunday. Sheetal Saini created a scene in front of Mr Bais’s official residence here late on Saturday evening “inviting” him along with his family members to witness the “yagna”, he had been performing for the past one month to “ruin” them. Mr Bais was not present in his house then. The police rushed to the spot and arrested the priest. “The priest sounded impatient,” Civil Lines police station in-charge Virendra Chaturvedi said. The priest had been performing the “yagna” since February.
