Supreme Court must probe Jay Shah deals, says Congress

Lucknow: The Congress, on Monday, sought a probe by two sitting judges of the Supreme Court in the business dealings of Jay Shah, son of BJP president Amit Shah.

The Congress also asked Mr Amit Shah to step down from his post to enable an impartial probe into the matter.

Talking to reporters, UPCC president Raj Babbar put up seven questions before the Modi government and said that the people of the nation wanted to know the truth.

Referring to Temple Enterprises, the company owned by Mr Shah’s son, the UPCC chief said that people wanted to know what kind of business the company was involved in.

“Secondly, if the company had increased its profits manifold, then why did it wind up in October 2016? Did any doubtful transactions take place during this time?” he asked. Mr Raj Babbar said that Rs 51 crore had come into this company through foreign funding.

He further said that Mr Jay Shah had been given unsecured loan of `15.78 crore by Kusum Finserve.
