‘War is not the solution, only lives our (are) lost. Dialogue is the only option’

Srinagar

: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah said on Friday that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) belongs to Pakistan and will remain a part of the neighbouring country, just as Jammu and Kashmir will always remain part of India.

"PoK is in Pakistan and will remain, J&K is in India and will remain. We need to understand this", said Farooq Abdullah.

He added that both the countries need to sort out differences through dialogue, as war will not benefit either for Pakistan or India.

"War is not the solution, only lives our (are) lost. Dialogue is the only option," he said.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Nirmal Singh said that PoK is constitutionally a part of India.

"1994 Parliament resolution clearly said PoK is constitutionally a part of India," he said.
