Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Centre wants to “reverse” numerous decisions of the AAP government through lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung.

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Centre wants to “reverse” numerous decisions of the AAP government through lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung. He also said DCW chief Swati Maliwal may be “arrested” soon, as Mr Jung and the PMO are “hell bent” on penalising her for the “good job” she is doing.

The Delhi CM’s outburst on Twitter comes a day after Mr Jung indicated that he was in the process of overturning “illegal decisions” taken by the AAP government following the August 4 Delhi high court verdict, which held that the L-G is administrative head of the National Capital Territory and set aside the AAP government’s contentions that he is bound to act on the advice of the council of ministers.

He said the decisions of public importance, including the one on increase in minimum wages and holding discoms accountable for unscheduled po-wer cuts, are under the scanner of the L-G and the Centre. He alleged that Mr Jung was “subverting” democracy to protect his “chair”.

On the CAG row, Mr Kejriwal said the auditor “vehemently refuses” to audit advertisement expenses of the Centre and other states. “Why CAG under pressure from BJP ” he said on Twitter.

“LG hell bent on removing the team which made mohalla clinics and saved money on flyovers.”

“Hold power cos accountable — make them pay compensation for unscheduled power cuts. Is it illegal LG sitting on it. AAP govt asked for land for 10 hospitals from DDA. Modi’s LG refused. Was our demand illegal ” the Delhi CM said in a series of tweets.

Referring to Mr Jung’s statement that he has tried to restrict his intervention in the government to the bare minimum, Mr Kejriwal said, “If this is ‘least interference’, then what is ‘high interference’ Shameful subversion of democracy to protect chair,” he said.

“Guys. Can u name 1 positive thing that Modiji or his LG did for Delhi so far Only created hurdles. Negative people.”

“Essence of Indian democracy so far. Thats why both parties (BJP and Congress) are jointly opposing AAP everywhere tooth and nail,” the AAP chief said on Twitter. Later in the day, he also retweeted a GIF that shows an angry panda violently disrupting an office space. “U must must watch this. V funny,” he said.
