OC employee arrested for stealing computer parts

New Delhi: Random Access Memory (RAMs) of computers placed at the office of Commonwealth Games Organising Committee CEO Jarnail Singh were stolen allegedly by an employee who was arrested, police sources said today.

Pantry boy Umesh was apprehended from the Organising Committee Office in Jantar Mantar on October 18 after he was purportedly caught on a CCTV stealing computer parts, they said.

He has been allegedly stealing RAMs installed at the OC office for the past one month, a senior police official said.

"He has stolen the RAMs from the office of the OC CEO also," the official said, adding Umesh was sent to police custody after his production in court.

Investigators said no important files were lost due to the theft as the hard drives have already been seized.
