Left, regional parties question EVM credibility

The Left and regional parties like the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) have expressed their displeasure to the EC over the use of the EVMs in polls. They believe the credibility of the electronic voting machines has come under a cloud. But the ruling party in Tamil Nadu, namely the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has favoured the use of EVMs.
The technical committee of the EC, on Thursday, met the representatives of various political parties to discuss the use of electronic voting machines.
