K’taka ministers caught watching porn, face axe

The Karnataka BJP faced fresh embarrassment on Tuesday when two Cabinet ministers in the D.V. Sadananda Gowda government were caught on camera watching a pornographic clip on their mobiles in the state Assembly.
The two — cooperation minister Laxman Savadi and women and child welfare minister C.C. Patil — were found watching the porn clips between 5 pm and 5.30 pm just a few minutes before the House adjourned for the day.
Both ministers strenuously denied wrongdoing, saying they were given the cellphone by Krishna Palemar, ports and fisheries minister. Mr Savadi told this newspaper the clip was of a gangrape of a woman by four men in Saudi Arabia who were later hanged.
But he quickly changed his story, saying he had got an MMS clip from Mr Palemar on a rave party, saying he wanted to see “what happens at such parties”.
BJP insiders said all three ministers might be asked to resign from the Cabinet to contain the damage.

As a self-confessed hardliner, I must admit that being a part of the team engaged in Indo-Pak Track 2 dialogue has been very interesting.
