Jaya asks partymen to ‘gift’ her 40 LS seats

Setting her sights on carving out a larger role in national politics, AIADMK supremo and chief minister Jayalalithaa on Friday asked her partymen to “gift” her with all 40 Lok Sabha seats in the 2014 elections.

“Winning all the 40 seats in the coming Lok Sabha polls would be the best present my dear partymen you can give me and I request you to start working towards this goal,” Ms Jayalalithaa, who will turn 64 on February 24, said. Tamil Nadu has 39 Lok Sabha seats and the Union Territory of Puduchery one.
