IRCTC users reveal their PAN card details, credit/debit card details for filing reservations.

IRCTC, the largest e-commerce website of India, was suspected to be hacked as reported by the Maharashtra Police, and data and personal information of around one crore users is feared to be compromised. Consequently, the hack has raised concerns over safety and security.

IRCTC users reveal their PAN card details, credit/debit card details for filing reservations, which can now all be accessed by hackers and can be used to forge documents on the basis of the stolen information.

An IRCTC PRO told ANI, "IG Maharashtra police cyber cell has informed IRCTC about Data theft from its website but the details of the said data are still to be shared with IRCTC. IRCTC will be issuing a detailed press note later today.
