More than 100 shanties were gutted after a massive fire broke out in Kakinada on Friday. Several fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to battle the fast spreading blaze.
The situation is still not under control and efforts are on to douse the flames. According to local media reports, the fire broke out in a colony resided by the fishermen community. No loss of life has been reported yet.
