Mounting an attack on the Opposition for terming the current phase of governance in the state as “AK-47 Raj” Bihar deputy chief minister Tejaswi Yadav blamed the LJP for “disturbing the work of governance by making futile allegations”.

Reacting to Lok Janshakti Party senior leader and MP Chirag Paswan’s demand for President’s Rule in the state, Mr Yadav said the allegations against the state government were false and strict policing has been imposed to maintain law and order.

“They have lost visibility and are raising this issue to create confusion among the masses and gain popularity but people have already rejected them. They can’t question the credibility of this government,” the deputy CM said in Patna on Sunday.

LJP MP Chirag Paswan had demanded the imposition of President’s Rule in the state on the grounds of increasing lawlessness and gave a political colour to the killing of his party member Brijnathi Singh.

Furthering his attacks against the LJP MP, Mr Yadav said, “Leaders of the LJP are making big statements but the fact is they have a battery of tainted leaders in their party. If they are so concerned about the rising crime why don’t they start removing some of their leaders.”

Meanwhile, RJD chief Lalu Yadav, who returned from Delhi on Sunday also slammed the LJP for trying to politicise the killing of Brijanthi Singh. The RJD chief said the Lok the Janshakti Party for trying to “mislead masses by making baseless allegations”. He said, “Violence cannot be tolerated in a place like Bihar and there is rule of law in the state and those who killed Brijanthi Singh will not be spared.”
