Banerjee will be online for around half an hour and will take direct questions and will instantly reply to them.

In an attempt to connect with the masses, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee will, for the first time ever, chat live on Facebook on Wednesday at 8:30 pm.

According to a senior party leader, Banerjee will be online for around half an hour and will take direct questions and will instantly reply to them.

"Mamata di has this unique skill of communication from road shows, street corner meetings, big rallies to Facebook and twitter. She has this unique skill of communicating with the masses," Trinamool Congress national spokesperson Derek O' Brien said.

Banerjee is a regular user of Facebook and her page has over 16 lakh 'likes'. She also has over 2.6 lakh followers on Twitter.
