Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is not the only chief minister complaining of being targeted by the CBI, other Opposition leaders and CMs it is investigating include Himachal Pradesh’s Virbhadra Singh and West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee.

Soon after it registered a case against the Himachal Pradesh chief minister, his wife and associates for allegedly amassing assets of over Rs 6 crores disproportionate to their known sources of income, the

CBI Tuesday conducted searches at the office of Mr Arvind Kejriwal and a dozen other places after filing a corruption case against his principal secretary Rajendra Kumar.

The CBI also recently examined BSP supremo Mayawati over its probe into the implementation of the National Rural Health Mission scam in UP.

Opposition leaders said it was “unprecedented” that under the pretext of investigating charges against a bureaucrat, a chief minister’s office should be sealed and files searched as alleged by Mr Arvind Kejriwal.
