An 11-year-old boy from Agra, suffering from blood cancer, has writt-en to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav for financial assistance.

“I have seen them on TV so I have written to Prime Minister uncle and chief minister uncle to help my parents with the treatment and I hope they will help me,” the boy, Ansh, told reporters in Agra.

Pooja, mother of the boy, said that the family has sold off all their valuables and property to pay for the treatment but they now need financial assistance to carry one with the treatment.

“Ansh was diagnosed with blood cancer when he was eight years old and we had admitted him to a hospital in Delhi, from where he was referred to Jaipur. There, his treatment went on for 2.5 years. His testis has cysts now and one was operated upon,” she explained.

Ansh’s father Krishan said he looks forward to assistance from Mr Modi and Mr Yadav.

Meanwhile, Mr Yadav has directed a district official to visit Ansh and his family and make arrangements for the treatment of the boy without delay.
