New Delhi: The two-day-long meeting of the BJP’s national executive will be held in the national capital from August 18.

The meeting, which will be attended by senior party leaders from the states and the national office-bearers, will have Prime Minister Narendra Modi giving the concluding remarks which would have tips for the party leaders on how to prepare for the upcoming crucial Assembly elections and also the Lok Sabha polls scheduled by next year.

BJP president Amit Shah will give the opening remarks at the meet.

The last meeting of the national executive, a platform for the saffron party to set its national political agenda, had taken place in September last year.

According to the BJP’s constitution, the national executive should meet every three months, but sources said the meeting was delayed as party president Amit Shah was travelling across the country to gear up the organisational machinery for the important upcoming elections.
