Bhopal: In a bizarre incident, a man in Indore city in Madhya Pradesh was bitten several times by a youth for pleading him not to beat a stray dog, police said on Thursday.

Although the incident took place on Monday night, it came to light when the victim lodged a complaint against the accused in local police station on Wednesday night. According to the police, one Ravi Chouhan spotted a local youth, identified as Babbli, beating a stray dog black and blue in his locality in the district headquarters of Indore and dissuaded him not to torture the helpless canine.

His pleadings however made Babbli angry, leading to heated exchanges between them. Later, in a fit of anger, Babbli allegedly threw Ravi to the ground and then bit him several times, leaving him injured.

“The accused has been booked under section 324 of IPC (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon or means)”, the investigating officer said.
