Akhilesh Yadav asks BJP MLAs to gherao Parliament

UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday asked BJP legislators to gherao Parliament in Delhi and also their own leaders who were holding back funds meant for development of Uttar Pradesh.

“Instead of shouting slogans in the Assembly and holding protests outside the Vidhan Sabha, you all should go to Delhi and ask your leaders why they are holding back money for development. We are ready for a debate on development and even the law and order situation, but you people want to create noise and not to anything constructive,” he said, even as BJP MLAs shouted slogans against the state government.

The chief minister said that the BJP was using such tactics to divert attention and grab power in Uttar Pradesh, but they should realise that you need substance to win the confidence of the people.
