Jim Carrey responds to lawsuit

The actor and comedian calls his late girlfriend’s mother a liar.

Jim Carrey responded to the wrongful death lawsuit that was filed against him by his late girlfriend Cathriona White’s mother, Brigid Sweetman. White died of an overdose in September last year.

Sweetman’s family claim that the pills she used to end her life were supplied by Carrey. He was also accused of transmitting three sexual diseases to White.

According to People.com, Carrey’s legal team called it as a ‘shakedown’ and disputed the accusations. A 10-page declaration was submitted in the court along with photos of Carrey and White in happier times, and his final text messages to her.
