Former American idol contestant Chris Daughtry claims the singer didn’t sing live during the Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York

Mariah Carey has been accused of lip syncing during her appearance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday by fellow performer, former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry.

After being accused of lip syncing himself, Chris wrote on Twitter: And so did EVERYBODY ELSE! Apart from Mariah, who performed the holiday classic All I Want for Christmas Is You, others who appeared during this year’s parade included Jordin Sparks, Panic! At The Disco, Shawn Mendes, Train, Jennifer Nettles and Pat Benatar among others.

It is not uncommon for stars to have to lip-sync at such large events, especially ones that are also being broadcast live. Despite this, some took to Twitter to attack the singers, including Chris and Mariah, for not performing live.
