ISL: Delhi eye elusive win at home

Unbeaten but yet to record a win at home, Delhi Dynamos will be out to bag full points when they face Pune City FC in an Indian Super League fixture here on Thursday.

Earlier when the two teams met, Delhi Dynamos FC pulled off a thrilling 2-1 victory at the Balewadi Sports Complex.

Second in the standings, Pune FC will look to exact revenge at Nehru Stadium, which witnessed a record turnout in the home team’s last game against Atletico de Kolkata on November 14.

Last week, third placed Dynamos played out their third straight draw at home against Atletico de Kolkata. They had earlier drwan with NorthEast United FC and Mumbai City FC.

Dynamos’ marquee manager cum player Roberto Carlos knows that they have not scored enough but is not pressing the panic button. “The goals will come at the right time,” Carlos said..

“I would have been more worried if we were not performing at all. My team is doing the best to win.”

It will be interesting to see if Carlos includes Richard Gadze, who have scored in the last three matches, in the starting XI or continue with his strategy to bring the Ghanian on as a second half substitute.

In search of an elusive victory at home, the Dynamos will again look up to midfield maestro Florent Malouda. Malouda will have Hans Mulder for company in midfield, with men like Gustavo dos Santos and Seminlen Doungel controlling the wings.

ATK up to second

In Kolkata, defending champions Atletico de Kolkata came from a goal down to beat Chennaiyin FC 2-1 and jump to the second spot.

Raphael Augusto put the visitors ahead in the 27th minute before Atletico produced the turnaround with a superb display by Sameehg Doutie.
