Glam up with modern vintage hairstyles

Steal an old-school Hollywood hairstyle as vintage hairstyles are making a huge comeback this summer. With the 60s still continuing to rule and fascinate people from all over, it can be spotted across almost all international catwalks, red carpet looks and editorial spreads.

Vintage-inspired hairstyles such as high-head bouffant and structured beehives have gotten a more modern approach where the looks are slightly deconstructed to give you a casual feel along with a softer texture. You can try out the braided beehive too, which combines two favourites: the braided crown and the beehive.

Starting from the crown, begin to backcomb the section of hair that’s pulled back behind you. Now that your hair is all teased and smoothed, begin rolling your hair toward the crown of your head.

Create two small braids with the sections at the front of your head. Bring the two braids across the top of your head right in front of the beehive, and pin behind your ears. Secure it, stick bobby pins.
