Deepa Mehta to direct a Netflix show?

Award-winning director Deepa Mehta is best known for her works Fire, Water and Midnight’s Children, all of which deal with rather controversial subjects. Her last project was Anatomy of Violence shot in 2016.

We now hear that she has scripted an Indian show for Netflix. A source close to the filmmaker reveals that Deepa is currently in India looking for actors to cast in her show. And if she is able to finalise her cast soon, shooting will begin this year itself.

Deepa Mehta is known for presenting a realistic picture of society on the celluloid without any dilution. Her upcoming Netflix show is already being touted as a game-changer for viewers.
