Lorde apologises for her comment

New Zealand singer-songwriter and Taylor Swift’s close friend, Lorde, has recently apologised for making an insensitive comment, for which she came under a lot of criticism.

Speaking of the difficulty of maintaining a friendship with someone as famous as Swift, Lorde told The Guardian, “It’s like having a friend with very specific allergies. There are certain places you can’t go together. Certain things you can’t do. There are these different sets of considerations within the friendship. It’s like having a friend with an autoimmune disease,” she had said.

Soon after, several fans called her out, and one of them also tweeted, “I wonder how @selenagomez feels about this. What an incredibly ignorant analogy to make,” since Selena suffers from Lupus. Then, Lorde responded, “@stefinitely85 didn’t mention taylor, but regardless, I f***** up & that was really insensitive. I’m sorry. (sic).”
