The Weeknd breaks down on stage!

The Weeknd gave an emotional performance at Coachella on Friday, visibly breaking down in tears during his headlining set, reports People.com.

The 28-year-old Canadian singer ended the popular musical festival‘s first day of fun with a sweet performance as he sang songs from his new six-song EP My Dear Melancholy — Call Out My Name and Privilege. Incidently, those songs are assumed by fans to be about The Weeknd’s relationship with ex Selena Gomez.

Many of The Weeknd’s fans felt bad for the singer and took to the social media to express their feelings. “The Weeknd crying got me sad like I almost gave my kidney to Selena (sic),” wrote a Twitter user Nisa. While another user, Chlo wrote, “The Weeknd is crying on stage at coachella so you’re dam right I’m gonna cry right here in public (sic).”
