Abhishek Bachchan retains Housefull 4 spot

The Housefull series, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, has seen changes in actors and directors a few times over during the franchise. First, it was director Sajid Khan who was replaced after the first two instalments, replaced by director duo Sajid-Farhad in Housefull 3. And now, Khan is back as the director for the fourth instalment.

And while the star cast of the first film had Arjun Rampal and Akshay Kumar, the second had John Abraham. Abhishek Bachchan stepped into the third part of the movie. And now we’re told that Abhi will retain his place in the fourth movie, along with Akshay and Riteish Deshmukh.

“The makers feel that Abhishek’s comic timing is a lot better than the other two actors mentioned, apart from his uncanny ability to be in multiple franchises that do well on the box office. Abhishek has been a part of the Dhoom and Housefull franchises, which have had full houses,” an insider explains.

Housefull 4 is slated to be on the silver screen during Diwali 2019.
