Bachchans set aside commitments to be with Ash
Amitabh Bachchan has postponed the shoot of Sarkar 3 to mourn the demise of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father.
The Bachchan family has stood steadfast behind its bahu, Aishwarya Rai as she mourns the demise of her father, late Krishnaraj Rai. The family has withdrawn from all professional commitments for the time being. Says a family friend, “Until Aishwarya recovers from her grief, Abhishek will be by her side. In fact the entire Bachchan parivaar is with her. The day after the death, Amitji cancelled his public event with Shah Rukh Khan in Delhi. The latter managed the entire event on his own.”
Apparently, the release of the next Amitabh Bachchan starrer, Sarkar 3, too has been postponed by a month — from April 7 to May 12 — to accommodate the tragedy.
A friend of the family adds, “The doctors had warned the family. But nothing prepares you for the death of loved one. Ash has been keeping up a brave front, but she has taken her father’s death very badly. She was very close to her father, and so was Abhishek.”
