These days, many actresses are identifying themselves as feminists and voicing their opinions in favour of matters like pay parity, but Shraddha Kapoor, who’s always been one to do things a little differently, prefers to call herself a humanist.

“I would like to believe that I am a humanist. I feel there should be an equality of rights on a human level,” Shraddha says.

The actress, who’s all set to make her south Indian debut with Saaho, seems to be having a great time working on the multi-lingual project.

“The entire team is awesome. Saaho is my first multilingual film — it’s being made simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi,” she says.

About memorising dialogues in Telugu, she says, “It is very challenging; I mug up every single one of my lines. But it’s a lot of fun as well. It’s quite something to be immersed in another world, a language that you’re not familiar with.”

Saaho, starring Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff and Mandira Bedi, is a high-octane action film for which some crucial scenes are being shot in Dubai. Meanwhile, Shraddha’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu has just come out this weekend.
