Mumbai: Salman Khan’s co-star Pooja Dadwal from the 1995 film ‘Veergati’ is suffering from tuberculosis and is being treated at the TB Hospital in Sewri, Mumbai.

Pooja, who was romantically paired opposite Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri in the action film and also reportedly acted in ‘Inteqam’, ‘Hindustan’ and ‘Dabdaba’, claims she is ‘penniless’ and asked for financial help from the superstar.

"I got to know six months ago that I was suffering from tuberculosis. After learning about this I tried to contact Salman Khan but there's been no response yet," she was quoted as saying by Navbharat Times.

The former actress has apparently shared a video to seek help, and pictures of her with a tube around her nose in the hospital has been going viral.

"If Salman Khan sees my video, he might help me. I have been admitted to the hospital for 15 days now. I was the manager at a casino in Goa for several years. I am penniless. I am dependent on others for even a cup of tea," she said.

While Salman is yet to react to the plea, several Twitter users proposed her case to him.

It’s also reported that owing to her illness, her husband and in-laws abandoned her.

The incident brings back memories of how Twitter users informed Akshay Kumar about his first producer Ravi Shrivastava suffering from kidney problems amid his financial trouble.

Akshay had then extended help to him, and we hope Salman also follows suit for Pooja.
