Alia Bhatt turns down Sujoy Ghosh’s film

Director Sujoy Ghosh has been making earnest efforts to re-establish his image ever since Kahaani 2 bombed at the box office. The filmmaker had said then that he would try to resurrect his career with Kahaani 3. Meanwhile, he was working on another script and approached Alia Bhatt to play the lead role in it. Alia however, has turned it down. A source close to the director reveals, “Sujoy approached Alia with a script which she turned down. The actress was excited to work with Sujoy but declined the offer when she heard the script as she didn’t find it good enough.”

Alia recently turned down a Yash Raj Film. Adds the source, “Alia’s is in a position today where she can afford to decline offers if she doesn’t like them. She’s however eager to work if the script suits her sensibilities too.”
