After PadMan, Akshay Kumar to quote steep price for Milkman
Based on the book, I Too had a Dream, the film will be directed by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Batti Gul Meter Chalu director Shree Narayan Singh.
As he continues to promote Pad Man relentlessly, Akshay Kumar is in talks with Ekta Kapoor to essay the role of Verghese Kurien in a film on the Amul man. Based on the book, I Too had a Dream, the film will be directed by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Batti Gul Meter Chalu director Shree Narayan Singh.
The last time around Akshay collaborated with Ekta Kapoor, his market price had to take a beating because the film Once Upon A Time in Mumbai… Dobaara did not do well.
“But now, Akshay is ruling the box office and every film of his is a safe bet. So, this time around, the price will be what Akshay says, in addition to the partnership that he will command when he signs the film on the milkman of India,” says a trade analyst.
