Akshaye Khanna, who does not enjoy parties and events, is happy that that the industry has accepted him the way he is, and is no longer inviting him to attend them.

The actor, a self-confessed introvert, says, “It’s important to be oneself.  This is who I am, and I can't change. People have stopped inviting me for parties and events. That doesn't bother me because they know how I am. In fact I am really grateful that this has happened.”

The Border actor, who is still a mystery to many, reveals that it is very easy to make him smile.

“It’s very easy to put a smile on my face as I love humour, and any kind of humor interests me. I don’t want to talk much about myself, but trust me, it's easy to make me smile,” he says.

Akshaye will now be seen in The Accidental Prime Minister in the role of Manmohan Singh's former media advisor Sanjay Baru.

Talking about Anupam Kher, who will be seen as Dr Manmohan Singh, he says, “I enjoy his company so I had a blast with him. He keeps you entertained and he is always happy. It’s a very interesting performance, and the actor's interpretation. He is a tall man and to give a performance on him is a feather in his cap. I am proud to be working with him.”
