Shahid has been under the perpetual fear of being overshadowed thanks to Ranveer’s author-backed role.
By know it’s a known fact that Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor haven’t seen eye-to-eye on the sets of Padmavati. In fact, the rivalry between them is so deep, that the two have reportedly been spying on each other’s activities, connected to the film’s publicity, constantly.
Shahid has been under the perpetual fear of being overshadowed thanks to Ranveer’s author-backed role. And when he heard about Ranveer’s stories about being psychologically traumatised while playing the evil invader Allaudin Khilji, he immediately hit back with some of his. One of which is that he learned sword fighting and fencing as Maharaja Rattan Singh.
Says a source in the know, “Shahid got very insecure when he saw the limelight shifting to Ranveer after the latter’s team let it leak that he had to see a psychiatrist to get out of his diabolical character. But what Shahid doesn’t know is that it’s all a façade. Ranveer didn’t consult any shrink to exorcise himself of the part. These are all method-acting conceits being propagated by Ranveer’s team.”
