Filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, who’s known for his thrillers, likes to take his own sweet time working on projects. Over the past 14 years, he’s made only five films, but he says it’s not deliberate.“I don’t want to take so long, but filmmaking does take time. I keep saying that I will try to work faster,” he says.

Raghavan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Andhadhun, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte. He reveals that he wasn’t even thinking of casting Ayushmann while writing the script.

“While writing a script, we usually have a dream cast in mind. Tabu’s character was written with her in mind. And for the character of the piano player, we wanted someone with knowledge of music, but we didn’t think of Ayushmann. It was only later that we considered him. He loved the script and came on board,” Raghavan says.

The film also features popular 70’s actor Anil Dhawan in an interesting role.
