Ranveer Singh hikes his fee “substantially”

Ranveer Singh is inarguably one of the most accomplished actors of Bollywood today. From his barbaric role as Alauddin Khilji in Padmavat to his fiery role as a corrupt police officer in Simmba, his acting skills and high-octane energy are unparalleled.  

He is definitely on ever director-producers to-cast list, but his presence will come with a heftier sum from now on.  Apparently, it’s now going to cost much more to get Ranveer on board than it did a year ago. In 2018 the actor featured in two of three  blockbusters of the year, not to mention his blockbuster marriage to Deepika Padukone. Says a hotshot producer; “Ranveer is riding a never-before high after the super-success of Padmaavat and Simmba. His equity has shot up to a much higher level than what it was in 2017. Understandably, he has hiked his price, he now charges much more than his contemporary Varun Dhawan.”

Until last year Varun was the highest paid actor of his generations. 2018 has changed that and now Ranveer is riding an unprecedented high. With the Khan superstar trio facing a subdued year, there is every possibilities of Ranveer overtaking them. Now it is left to see whether his next release Gully Boy can defend his No.1 position or not.
