The actor may be a busy star but his work can’t keep him away from his family.

Nothing can prevent Saif Ali Khan from spending some quality time with his family. Not even film promotions! Saif feels that stars are often compelled to promote films as much as possible due to the insecurity of producers. So even though he’s busy promoting Chef, his first priority is his son, Taimur.

“Recently, I refused to budge and set out for promotions as I wanted to take Taimur for swimming. At this juncture of my life, I always like to give enough time to my family.”

Saif is not oblivious to the fact that Taimur is now media’s favourite.

“I feel he has acting in his blood. There’s something in his smile and eyes that makes you feel attracted to him. Kareena was also telling me that if I want enough promotions for my film, Chef, I should just take Taimur with me and that I’d get innumerable likes on social media,” he shares.

Saif is also a doting father to his daughter Sara and son Ibrahim. On Sara’s upcoming debut in Bollywood, he says, “I am happy and excited about Sara entering the league of actors. She is working with Gattu, who will guide her well. Sushant (Singh Rajput) is also a good actor. Sara needs to concentrate and work hard. She will give her best. Meanwhile, my son Ibrahim is just 16 and he needs to concentrate on his studies. He’s now preparing from his Class X examinations.”

It looks like Saif’s new resolve to spend more time with his family is inspired by one of his actor buddies.

“Akshay Kumar works from early in the morning and sets back home by early evening. This indeed is a great practice. I have also decided not to take away the time of my family from them,” he concludes.
