Director Leena Yadav who has directed films like Shabd, Rajma Chawal, Teen Patti etc believes that the term ‘woman director’ should just disappear.

Leena says, “The term woman director should just disappear. I believe over the years, things are changing and that differentiation is sort of fading away. But we are still too far from that.”

The director, who released her film Rajma Chawal starring Rishi Kapoor on the digital platform, thinks some of the best writing is happening in that space.

“I believe some of the best writing is happening in the digital space right now but I haven’t yet come across anything that got me. That platform gives you so much freedom that you want to show the best to your viewers. If I want to be in that medium I want something more powerful,” the Parched director asserts.

Leena, who launched Shraddha Kapoor with the film Teen Patti says she is extremely proud of Shraddha who is doing well for herself.

“I saw the potential in her when I saw her, and I am very proud of all the actresses that I have worked with. When I see them growing I feel proud, and I feel like I was one phase in their growth,” she signs off.
